The
Graduate Studies Committee will accept applicants'
visual materials for review in the following formats:
- Electronic media: CD or DVD (Macintosh and PC compatible)
disks, containing well organized files for
computer graphics, CAD, interactive, and other computer
applications related to the above mentioned design
fields. All disks must be labeled with your name. You
must also include a printed version of the materials
should the media malfunction.
- Videotape: VHS format only, for documentation
of computer graphics, including animation and various
visual materials
related to the above mentioned design
fields. Your name and a table of contents must be
included on the label.
- Printed material or original artwork. All printed
material should be labeled with your name.
- 35mm slides: no more than twenty slides of documentation
of work in interior design, product design, visual
communication/graphic design, or other related design
areas. Each slide must be labeled with your name. A
printed version of the slide is recommended to be included
in the portfolio as well.
For materials submitted in disk format, you must include
a printed record of the contents, in the event that the
electronic materials are damaged or incompatible, and
so the committee can more easily evaluate your application.
Web-site URLs will not be accepted. Please provide all
web-based materials and any other interactive projects
on electronic media as described above.
Additionally, portfolios should document the process of
design followed in the generation of work.
