Heike Goeller

Areas of Expertise
• Interior architecture, space planning
• Interior identity and furniture systems design
• Interior and space semantics with emphasis on cultural differences
Professor Goeller teaches undergraduate and graduate level design studio
courses, including basic, intermediate and advanced interior design, human
and environmental systems design, research problems in design and furniture
systems and color psychology. Her wide range of research-related consulting
includes projects for many organizations and companies in Ohio, the United
States, Germany and other nations, including work for the Government of
the German Federal Republic and the King of Saudi Arabia. She is the 1999
recipient of the DAAD Distinguished Teacher Exchange Award, and also a
recipient of the OSU President's Salute Honorary, SPHINX and Mortar Board
Honorary, as well as garnering the Marvel Group Design Advancement Award
and COSI Performance Excellence-Appreciation Award. Goeller is a member
of the German Association of Interior Architects and the German Chamber
of Architects, and participates in numerous design conferences and activities.
