The Ohio State IIDA Campus Center hosted the Columbus IIDA Career Day on Friday May 17th. Local Interior Design professionals and Interior Design students from Ohio State, CCAD, & OU gathered in Hayes Hall for an afternoon of fun and informative events.

Reps from various interior finish material manufacturers and furniture dealers kicked off the event with a Meet and Greet mingle that gave students a chance to see some of the newest materials being launched at the upcoming NeoCon. The afternoon featured a luncheon and presentation by Stasia Czech from NBBJ on creating your own personal brand image, followed by presentations by Steelcase and Haworth along with a speed dating-style portfolio review.

With the success of the event, OSU’s IIDA student chapter hopes to bring the event back again next year. Look for this and other upcoming IIDA events on their Facebook page.
