Taylor is a lecturer in the Department of Design at The Ohio State University where he instructs courses for design foundations. He received his B.S. in Digital Arts & Design from Dakota State University and continued toward an MFA in Digital Animation and Interactive Media from the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) at OSU. His thesis work was presented at the New Interfaces for Musical Instruments (NIME) conference; the work combined visual programming and signal processing that manifested a real-time musical instrument using animation techniques.
Since then, he has contributed to research focused on Digital Humanities, informational videos, and continues to exhibit time-based media work. His work has been broadcasted on PBS with the Ohio Dance Group using motion-captured animation. He has also exhibited work at the Wexner Center for the Arts. Taylor has served as a judge to local film festivals in Columbus and is the current Fabrication Lab technician in Hopkins Hall.
