Thinking about studying abroad as a Design student? Join us for an information session to learn about Ohio State Design's semester exchange opportunities and hear firsthand from students who have participated in the program.
The Department of Design's semester exchange programs provide students with the opportunity to study at leading international institutions, immerse themselves in new cultures, and gain valuable global perspectives that strengthen their design practice. Students return with enhanced cross-cultural communication skills, expanded professional networks, and experiences that enrich both their academic work and future careers.
During this session, faculty and staff will provide an overview of the application process, program options, eligibility requirements, and academic planning considerations. Attendees will also hear from students who completed exchanges in Montréal, Canada, and Singapore during Spring 2026, as well as students preparing to participate in Spring 2027 programs. These peer perspectives will offer insight into everything from the application process and academics to travel, housing, and life abroad.
This session is particularly recommended for second-year students who may be eligible to participate in Spring 2028 semester exchange, but design foundations students are also encouraged to attend to begin planning early.
Whether you're actively considering a semester abroad or simply curious about the opportunities available, this session is a great way to explore how global education can become part of your Ohio State Design experience.
