This exhibition highlights design artifacts as vital research outcomes investigating complex visual and technological systems. To accommodate the diverse nature of these projects, the show features three distinct presentation modes: Screening for time-based media, including speculative films and "visual sound" animations; Demo for interactive software and VR/AR experiences; and Display for physical prototypes and computational prints. By moving between physical models, interactive software, and cinematic narratives, the Design MFA Exhibition provides a comprehensive look at how design research addresses societal challenges while pushing the boundaries of interactive media and technology.
