2024 Interior Design Charette Outcome Now on Display

White graphic with a curved red boundary to the right and gray text stating: Designing a place of respite for college students. A one-week design charette that challenged groups of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year interior design students to conceive spaces designed to enhance relaxation for college students. On display now through March 29th in the Hayes Hall Lobby.

Outcomes of the first one-week Interior Design Charette are now on display in Hayes Hall. Over the course of one week at the beginning of the Spring 2024 term, 15 teams, consisting of second, third, and fourth-year interior design students, worked together to conceive spaces designed to enhance relaxation for college students. With support from the Department of Design and interior design faculty, instead of their major studios, students spent the week working on the design challenge set forth by the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) 2024 Student Design Competition.

Three groups spent an additional week refining their outcome and two were submitted to the IDEC 2024 Student Design Competition.

The poster outcomes are now showcased in the Hayes Hall Lobby and are viewable through March 29th.
