Professor R. Brian Stone

The Department of Design is proud of Associate Professor R. Brian Stone, one of the most recent recipients of the prestigious Ronald and Deborah Ratner Distinguished Teaching Award. The Ratner Awards recognize faculty who have exemplary records of engaging, motivating, and inspiring students as well as of making a difference in students’ educations, lives, and careers. Recipients of the award are chosen based on the excellence of their records as well as on their vision of how they will continue to grow as a teacher. Brian Stone has dedicated much effort toward bringing the world to our students by organizing learning opportunities for them in other parts of the country and internationally. By exposing students to global design practices, his efforts do much to enrich the experience of our Visual Communication Design students. Congratulations to Brian!
