We are excited to share that our second-year DAIM graduate student, Roger Collins, will present his educational animation, Collectivism in Japanese Art, at the 2026 Silk Road International Film Festival in Dublin, Ireland, from November 11-13.

Collectivism in Japanese Art is a 3-minute, 16-second educational animation that explores collectivism in 20th-century and contemporary Japanese art (dantai), illustrating how artistic movements evolved across three distinct eras. Roger created the animation in 2024, before beginning his graduate studies at Ohio State, as a creative research project for an undergraduate art history course. The project was produced using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects.
