The Ohio State University Department of Design is proud to announce that Jada Davis and Phillip Biondo have been recognized as Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) Students to Watch for 2026, a national distinction honoring emerging designers who demonstrate exceptional creativity, skill, and professional promise.

Each year, GDUSA collaborates with leading art and design programs across the country to identify and celebrate the students poised to “burst onto the design scene.” The 2026 cohort represents a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and continuing‑education students who are developing the vision, craft, and perspective that today’s design industry demands. GDUSA describes the program as both “a celebration and a catalyst”—an initiative that not only highlights outstanding student talent but also energizes the broader creative community. 

Being selected for this list places Davis and Biondo among a competitive group of rising design practitioners recognized for originality, professionalism, and strong portfolio work.
