Zach is a lecturer in the Department of Design at The Ohio State University where he instructs courses for design foundations. He has also worked at The Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD), and contributed to research focused on virtual reality simulation training for first responders. Zach is an OSU alumnus with an M.F.A. in Digital Animation and Interactive Media. He also holds a B.S in Communications from Ohio University.
His research interests examine how creative exploration and playful inquiry with digital tools can reveal new information and inspire new questions surrounding classical artwork. Professionally, he has contributed to interactive museum exhibits as a programmer for the design firm, Roto, and created a mobile application to accompany the Dublin Arts Council's exhibition of "Crossing Borders Columbus," allowing visitors to interact with digital copies of featured artwork.
