Phillip Biondo, a student in Ohio State University's Visual Communication Design (VCD) program, recently returned from a semester abroad at the prestigious National University of Singapore (NUS), where he studied within the School of Industrial Design and Architecture.

Spending Spring 2025 immersed in one of Asia’s leading design institutions, Biondo described the experience as “one of the most rewarding” of his academic journey. The program offered him a chance to engage with diverse cultures, fresh design perspectives, and meaningful challenges that pushed him beyond his comfort zone.

“Very rarely do we get the opportunity to meet so many amazing people who inspire us to try new things,” Biondo shared. “I built friendships, explored new ideas in design, and grew in ways I never expected.”

He encourages fellow students to consider studying abroad, calling it a “unique moment in life” that fosters both personal and professional growth.
