In June, Professor Rebekah Matheny co-coordinated a track for the Design Research Society Conference (DRS) in Boston. She joined Professors Katelijn Quartier from Hasselt University, Mia Münster from PolyU School of Design in Hong Kong, and Bethan Alexander from the London College of Fashion in reviewing the 32 submissions. They selected 12 papers for their track on Retail, Hospitality, and Service Design Futures which were organized into three sessions: Sustainability, Technology, and User Experiences.  

Madison Sabatelli, a lecturer in the department and MFA DRD graduate, joined Rebekah in the DRS fun! Madison was there to present her paper titled “A Designer’s Lexicon: An Ethnographic Exploration of Language in Design Practice”.
