Thesis Title:
Design for Embodied Learning Experiences: Introducing a Process-Oriented Design Framework

Project Description:
In today's world of exhibition design, designers face the challenge of employing technologies to enhance learning experiences by leveraging embodied learning possibilities, which emphasize learners' bodily and sensory engagement in their learning process. A prominent challenge lies in translating high-level pedagogical principles of embodied cognition into effective design practices that can be implemented in educational settings and tailored to specific educational topics and content.

To address this issue, Min developed a process-oriented design framework to aid designers in creating embodied learning solutions to deliver on learning objectives. This design was inspired by existing frameworks related to embodied learning and structured through the Double Diamond design process. This framework was further tested and refined through its application in two design projects: Sun & Earth and Dinosaur Explore. Through these two design applications, Min describes how this design framework aids in the generation and specification of design ideas for embodied and interactive learning experiences.
