Events include:A grand ribbon-cutting and remarks from leaders from The Ohio State University, celebrating the opening of the transformed Sullivant Hall and honoring major donors, Lawrence and Isabel Barnett. (12:30 p.m.)Sullivant’s Travels, a site-specific promenade performance work by world-renowned director/choreographer Stephan Koplowitz, which serves as the centerpiece for the grand opening. With 11 simultaneous performance elements,  Sullivant’s Travels will feature artists and performers from Ohio State’s Department of Dance, School of Music, and Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD), with a cast of more than 35 dancers and 50 vocalists.  (1 p.m. and 4 p.m.)Open houses in the building’s resident units: Department of Dance; Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy; Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD); and the Barnett Center for Integrated Arts and Enterprise. In addition, the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum will be open.  (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.) and the Wexner Center for the Arts will be open at noon.Schedule of EventsNote: The Barnett Symposium will take place on the two days leading up to the Grand Opening, September 18 and 19.
