Design professor Maria Palazzi and teams of graduate student mentors have been guiding young women in the 7th and 8th grades through animation projects in a summer program at the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design since 2001. This highly successful program has been inspiring girls to imagine careers in animation by giving them hands-on experience doing research, imagining stories, and using technology to bring their ideas to life.
