Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Design alum Alexa Andrzejewski profiled on Fast Company site

Ohio State Design Alum Alexa Andrzejewski (VCD 2005) was recently interviewed on the Fast Company web-site, concerning her role as CEO and cofounder of Foodspotting, "a visual guide to food and where to find it."

Time Magazine named Foodspotting as one of the 50 Best Websites of 2010. Before launching Foodspotting in January 2010, Alexa was a User Experience Designer for Adaptive Path. Previous to that, Alexa worked at the user-insight consultancy Lextant.

Foodspotting is a mobile application and web-site that helps you decide what to eat, not just where, by enabling you to find whatever you're craving, see what's good at a particular restaurant, and discover the best foods around you wherever you go.

By showing user-generated photos of nearby foods, and keeping the rating system simple (if you love it, nom it!), Foodspotting makes decision-making easier.

The video interview can be accessed via the Fast Company site (link above), or via Ohio State Design's Vimeo page.

As well, Alexa was recently featured on NBC's the TODAY show.
