Industrial Design Students Win Core77 Design Awards

The Department of Design at The Ohio State University congratulates department alumni Easton Nguyen and Zoë Shay-Tannas who both recently received Core77 Design Awards.

Core77 is an industrial design magazine that serves a community of designers across the globe by publishing articles, hosting discussion forums, advertising job listings and more. Through their awards, they highlight the excellence of both students and professionals across 22 design disciplines.

Nguyen received the Editors Choice Prize for his speculative design project titled “Exit The Rat Race” which critiques irrational consumerism by envisioning a future of “capitalism gone wrong”. Shay-Tannas' PullTag, a state-of-the-art triage tag that would save EMS time during a mass casualty incident, received the Commercial Equipment Award.
