Internship Spotlight - Lilyana Bryan at Wexner Center for the Arts

Lilyana Bryan

Lilyana Bryan is a third-year Visual Communication Design student at The Ohio State University. Lilyana joined the Wexner Center for the Arts as a design intern in the summer and will continue working with them throughout 2022-23 school year. During her time at the Wex, she has worked on a variety of projects including merchandise design, social media content, animation, print design, and more. She also worked with her fellow design intern to create Griddy and Friends, a Wex mascot and marketing campaign that’ll include shirts, stickers, posters, and other collateral. As the year progresses, she’ll continue designing material for exhibitions and programs featured at the Wex.

When asked why she applied to work at the Wex, Lilyana states, “I come from a fine arts background, so my interest in design stems from that. Through working with the Wex, I’m able to grow as a designer while getting to know more about the arts community in Columbus. The Wex also does a lot of print, which I’m interested in. One of my studios toured their design department last semester and I remember being so impressed by the attention to detail and the variety of ways print can be used to curate an experience. I’m also working in the same building as Heirloom Cafe, which is just the cherry on top.”
