Liz Sanders and her longtime collaborator, Pieter Jan Stappers from TU Delft, were invited to write the cover story for ACM Interactions magazine. They wrote a short history paper about changes in the landscape of design and design research from three slices in time each 30 years apart: 1984, 2014 and 2044. A lot has changed between 1984 and 2014.  For 2044 they describe what they hope to see.
