Austin Scott wins IDSA Central Region Student Merit Award

Ohio State Industrial Design student Austin Scott recently won the 2014 Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) Central Region Student Merit Award.

Austin was chosen to represent Ohio State by a group of professional designers and competed with six other IDSA recognized design programs in the US central region. He is one of five students in the country to win this award.

He has been invited to present his work at the 2014 IDSA international design conference to be held this year in Austin, TX. Below are examples of some of Austin's Industrial Design project work.

His project work (shown below) has revolved around problem-solving and developing visual brand language, and has included a hard hat for Caterpiller and a hand harness designed for a golf bag.
