Lou Crow (they/them) was born in Nashville and lives in Columbus, Ohio. They have recently graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design with their B.F.A. in 2D animation. While attending CCAD, they studied visual storytelling, and animating in experimental methods. Some notable times for them were animating for Sarah Pender, a Syracuse Alumna, for her film "Boxed In" in 2021. Competing in the 24 Hour Animation Challenge in 2023, and creating an animated student film of their own, "B.A.C. Blood Alcohol Content". They were psyched to see it featured in multiple festivals. Transitioning into the professional world, they were also hired as a Student Animation Intern with Ohio State University's Knowledge Exchange until graduation. During this time frame, they developed a passion for aiding in spreading the stories of experts in fields they had never set foot in (e.g., agriculture).

After graduation, they served with City Year Columbus for a term from 2023-2024, giving back to the Columbus community and receiving mentorship in business, the arts, and non-profit management. During their service, they met Representative and Assistant Minority Leader Dontavius Jarrells of the Ohio House of Representatives and began working for his team as a Marketing Intern between April 2024 and January 2025. During this time, they also spent the morning as a program facilitator for the non-profit We Amplify Voices. In the after-school space. Today, they work at the Columbus Metropolitan Library as a Teen Services Specialist. At the Main Library branch, they facilitate digital arts and music-based workshops rooted in current technology to empower a sense of expression and professional development.

Their career and education have been surrounded and influenced by service to their community, co-design, and art and technology. At OSU, they are exploring how immersive and interactive media can be utilized to empower youth (especially in LGBTQIA demographics), and invoke empathy in others.
