Ange Leone is a dedicated and accomplished professional with a robust background in education, program coordination, and academic operations. Prior to joining the Department of Design, Ange served as the Primary Logistical Scheduling Coordinator for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences where she oversaw nine unit scheduling contacts to maintain and update the master schedule of over 2,600 course offerings and six building schedules across two campuses.

Ange's journey in higher education operations began at the Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine, where she excelled as a Medical Education Coordinator. In this role, she managed standardized patient programming within the Essig Patient Simulation Lab. She still assists with medical education in the role of acting as the standardized patient.

Prior to her tenure at Ohio State, Ange was the Director of Operations at Math Plus Academy in Powell, OH. There, she coordinated logistical and planning efforts for year-round virtual and in-person courses in K-12 math, robotics, and programming for over 400 students.

Ange graduated from Otterbein University in Westerville, OH, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Distinction. Her distinction thesis focused on groundwater quality analysis. Ange's commitment to environmental advocacy was further demonstrated through her participation in the Ohio Environmental Council Emerging Leaders Cohort, where she played a key role in securing sponsorships to support the modernization of Columbus's zoning code.

Additional research endeavors include a grant-funded project with the US EPA and the Water Research Foundation, where she supported the development of a compendium of best practices for community engagement in water reuse. Her work in identifying organizational and social considerations for water reuse at a national scale highlights her dedication to sustainability and environmental equity.

Outside of work you can usually find her reading or crocheting in a hammock at a local metro park, playing cozy games with her sister and friends, or relaxing with her two cats and family.
