553 Market, Bar & Grill

553 Market, Bar & Grill

Interior Design, 2016

A new life has been brought into the Franklinton community by attracting people from the downtown area of Columbus to Strong Water and Land grant Brewing Co. This new bar and restaurant scene has been successful, but neither of these locations address the issue of needing a family friendly restaurant or grocery store in the community.

In order to resolve this issue I have suggested the revitalization of the 7,662 square foot historical building located at 553 W. Town St. Franklinton, Ohio.

The new community of people circulating from downtown will have a greater cause for entering further into Franklinton by visiting 553. This revitalization will accompany East Franklinton’s theme of adaptive reuse, further helping create a socially innovative environment that is fueled by the community.

553 will provide fresh food, locally brewed beer and an opportunity for the community to gather. The market provides an opportunity for a convenient grocery shop. The Bar & Grill encourage the idea of family dining and also offers a new attraction community.
