Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Industrial Design, 2020

Accelolens aims to end distracted driving. It functions as a heads-up display unit (HUD) that projects the user’s Smartphone notifications onto its screen, once the phone is tucked away inside the device, where it can no longer distract the driver. The phone pairs with services such as Apple CarPlay and Siri. Once the scale inside Accelolens recognizes that the phone is inside the device, where it is out of sight and out of reach, it will project the phone’s screen and notifications on its glass panel. The device sits on the user’s dashboard where it is located, front and center, so that the driver can maintain eye contact with the road even when they receive a new notification or while scanning their GPS.
