Ambience is a digital platform made in collaboration with creative women of color. It is our goal to bridge the gap between design & diversity by showcasing and celebrating those who come from underrepresented cultures and ethnicities. With this exposure, we hope to inspire the next generation of young women.

Ambience was created to fill a void within the industry. The representation of diversity within creative fields is an area which needs to be drastically improved. Statistics show that not only are there fewer people of color within these spaces, but they are exposed to possibilities of a creative career at a much later age than their counterparts. Through interacting with our platform it is our hope to expose the world to the contributions that creative women of color have made within the industry.

Sagul Ali is a Somali-American Graphic Designer from Columbus,OH. She will be graduating in 2021 from The Ohio State University with a BSD in Visual Communications Design. She is passionate about Branding, Art Direction, and Typography & hopes to continue learning and improving her skills in those spaces.
