Affordable healthcare resources provided by nonprofit organizations are often underfunded, under-marketed, and consequently underused. With roughly 6.5% of Columbus residents uninsured, and hundreds of thousands under-insured because of gaps in their healthcare plans, information about affordable resources is needed. AwareCare bridges this gap through a comprehensive database of free and affordable healthcare resources and spreads awareness about this tool, in a multimedia campaign.
AwareCare’s city-wide campaign meets the uninsured and under-insured where they are by directing them to skilled healthcare providers who are ready to serve their needs. This system empowers nonprofit organizations to fully invest their resources into meeting the needs of the under-insured while immensely extending their reach.
