BEAR is an iPad game that promotes cognitive development, creativity and routine. It focuses on getting the child off of the couch and eyes away from the screen. It works by having the child name and take care of a bear. They can take care of their bear by completing scavenger hunt prompts. An example would be to get the bear ready for bed by taking pictures of their toothbrush, pajamas, and recording how the child and their grown up say “goodnight.” Once they have complete a task the health of the bear increases. The child can earn badges and play mini games that keep them coming back to the game.
