Clutch Research shows that self-care routines are greatly affected by the onset of arthritis. Shaving is one specific area of self-care individuals affected by arthritis struggle with. This is often noticed in women as women are more likely to have arthritis which affects their hands. Unfortunately, the current razor market was designed for able-bodied individuals and does not accommodate the needs of these women.
Clutch aims to make shaving easier for women affected by arthritis. Inspired by OXO’s famous Swivel Peeler, Clutch places the handle to the side of the razor head to encourage a comfortable, closed-fist grip that’s easy for individuals with low dexterity. With contours that fit snug into the hand, Clutch’s handle ensures women with arthritis have a strong, secure grip that allows them to feel in control.
