Cohesion
Carly St. Myers
Interior Design, 2020
Cohesion is a counseling and family center for those who have been affected by substance abuse disorders. Located in the Columbus neighborhood of Franklinton, it occupies the building that once housed Engine House No. 10. The program is meant to assist families in reconnecting and continuing a strong, healthy line of communication, as well as relapse prevention. Cohesion’s main goal is to help build support systems and keep families cohesive in a time of healing. Along with individual and family counseling services, Cohesion provides a family room, kids play area, guest speakers and family events, a community kitchen, and spaces to meet and work-all in a safe, supportive environment. Cohesion is a place that families can use at their own leisure.
