In Franklinton there is a high population of individuals that are homeless and housing-insecure. It is difficult to find basic necessities so Common Ground will provide these services like sanitary facilities, laundry, and counseling to the community. The space is designed to be open to everyone and act as a “Living Room” to the Franklinton population.

Caroline Jergens is a graduate of the 2021 Interior Design Program at The Ohio State University. She is passionate about hand-crafting items and blurring the lines between art and design. In her future she hopes to find a career in exhibit design, set design or user-experience design, as this is what she found most impactful from her education.
