Converge
Allison Bulgart
Interior Design, 2015
An innovative center to enhance community connections, empower expression and inspire collaborative ideation for all residents on the verge of change in Franklinton, Columbus, Ohio.
Converge seeks to involve both existing Franklinton residents and the “first gentrifiers”, the artist and maker community, in a new type of center that allows the public to both think for themselves and collaborate together to build a brighter future and a stronger Franklinton Community. In collaboration with the Center for Design and Architecture, Converge will strive to combine the views and needs of all Franklinton residents to develop common goals for their evolving community, allowing residents to build their businesses, neighborhoods, parks and ideas so they too can thrive within the Greater Columbus Community. To truly be innovative we need to incorporate all people, equally and with even greater care towards the existing community.
Allison Bulgart has a devoted interest in positively affecting people’s lives through design. She is extremely interested in optimizing spaces and design research within the architecture and interior design fields. After graduation, Allison will move to New York to work for Gensler in the Design Strategy Development Program. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, exploring and various arts as hobbies.
