The Creative Hub, located at 421 West State Street in East Franklinton is the site of an old warehouse that has been vacant for decades. The location and conditions of the site makes it an ideal test case for the formation of a creative hub that will advance the neighborhood’s revitalization efforts. Designed as a transformative space, the programming and development of this building will align with the neighborhood revitalization efforts. This creative hub will introduce systems and spaces that allow for change and transformation with the neighborhood fabric. The Columbus Idea Foundry will be at the central core of the programming proposed for the site and will provide a solid basis for creative accumulation. However, site will become a creative and active junction for the neighborhood and will house neighborhood specific programming alongside creative activities.
After receiving a first bachelor's degree in product development, Golnaz Motamedi found her passion for interior design and decided to continue her education in this field. She is interested in the potential of existing interiors and their affects on the human condition.
