Crux is a mobile app designed to help rock climbers find new routes, share information, and progress in the sport. The goal of this project is to grow the rock climbing industry by creating a stronger sense of community between climbers and making climbing information more accessible to new climbers.

James Allanson is an ambitious young designer. As his motto states “A passion for design” James has been a creative mind for years, beginning his creative career in high school as a fine artist. The application of his creative skills to problem solving and collaborative work has lead him to seek a career as in the design field. Upon graduation from The Ohio State University James seeks a position in user experience design and design research. As the second half of his motto states “Design for the future” James truly believe that good design can make the world a better place and hopes to tackle problems such as sustainability, and resource consumption as he continues to learn and grow throughout his career as a designer.
