Effectively Educating students, parents and staff about the Young Scholars Program

Visual Communication Design, 2014

The goal of my thesis project was to create awareness for The Ohio State University’s Young Scholars Program. The program is funded by Ohio State, currently bringing in around 120 students a year. Ohio State having an enrollment total of 57,466 as of Fall 2013. With only 3,242 being African American and 1,949 Hispanic. It is important to give students from economically challenged backgrounds the opportunity to increase these numbers not only at Ohio State but other public universities around the U.S. It is vital that the program is marketed to students, parents, district staff, university officials and the general public. I have created a new branding system for the program, marketing materials and a promotional video, along with a tool kit that can be used to connect current scholars with one another.
