The leading cause of automobile accidents is distracted driving. One of the most distracting things you can do while driving is use a navigation system. Until now.
EMBARK is a fully comprehensive navigation system that consists of an augmented reality windshield and a mobile app. EMBARK allows people to keep their eyes on the road at all times and provides them with additional useful features inside and outside of the car to get them to their final destination safely, efficiently, and effortlessly. All information is displayed on the windshield for convenience and safety. Turn-by-turn directions are superimposed over the road, so the driver never needs to look away. All features are available via voice command and the display can be customized in settings. The EMBARK app enables you to search and send destinations to your car, plan and save complex trips with multiple stops, customize and add favorite places, and receive notifications related to your route. You can even follow directions while walking with the same augmented reality technology that the windshield uses.
EMBARK has the potential to decrease distracted driving and driver anxiety, therefore reducing the number of injuries and deaths caused by automobile accidents.
