Empath
Gabrielle Ciminello
Visual Communication Design, 2019
Empath is an event for young adults to learn how to apply empathetic attributes and mindful behaviors to social interactions, with the goal of increasing mutual respect and empathy. By practicing mindfulness in conversation, young adults will be more self-aware of the connections they make with people—how they communicate, empathize, and engage with others.
Through speakers, activities, informative animations and self-reflection, Empath participants will learn important skills to make meaningful connections in their careers and in their lives. The keynote speakers will explain empathy and mindfulness while facilitating engaging, small group activities. Each participant will receive a booklet to learn, take notes and reflect.
“Empathy fuels connection, and connection gives purpose and meaning to our lives.”
