Empower: Women for Women

Empower: Women for Women

Lauren Purdin

Interior Design, 2019

As Franklinton expands we offer forget to look at those that were already there to begin with, and how this effects said persons. One group that especially gets overlooked is women. Here to help is Empower: Women for Women, which is a women’s center focused on women helping each other out. The center is located in the heart of Franklinton and is located in a three-story building. This space offers a variety of services to women only. Some of the services they offer are community classes, a buy-and-sell clothing store that offers pay what you can services, temporary living, and slightly longer temporary living in private small apartments. The main goal of Empower is to get women back up on their feet to be able to fend for themselves and their children.
