Enact America is a non-profit organization that strives to support social activism by young individuals who want to make a difference hands-on. Primarily, the organization facilitates volunteer opportunities and trips within the United States. The Enact website also includes elements of education and networking through common social interests.

Enact America allows young activists to find service opportunities close to home or in a location they can travel to. Service trips can help volunteers make a difference hands-on in their community, or one affected by a current social crisis. There is also a chat feature that connects people through common social interests.

This feature also takes form in a mobile app which helps the activist learn about issues on a platform that promotes transparency of information. For those who don’t have the time or resources to help, Enact offers overview pages that all link to a learn page where users can read more.

Gennifer Valentini is a 2020 graduate of The Ohio State University with a BSD in Visual Communications Design. Her interest in social activism in the United States led her to the concept for her senior design thesis. She believes that anyone can help make a difference, big or small. After graduation Gennifer plans to begin her career as a designer. She is excited for the new experiences that working in the real world will bring her.
