Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD): The painful illness affecting more and more people every single day, with no foreseeable cure. IBD causes more than just physical pain; it has mental side effects as well. Those who suffer from Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis feel embarrassed, panicked, and helpless. But there is hope. Flourish is a wellness management app that aims to provide those suffering from IBD with a sense of relief and reassurance to confidently live their lives to the fullest. The proactive app allows users to find the nearest restroom, track their diet, interact with others suffering from IBD, and more.

Ever since she was a child, Samantha Hanna has had a passion for creating things by designing, drawing, writing, and everything in between. This fueled her desire to create and help others. Samantha pursued her passion as a student in the Visual Communication Design program. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and playing sports.
