Franklinton Ohio is experiencing an education crisis. The dropout rate is nearly 3x the rate of the surrounding county. Lack of a highschool diploma can limit people's ability to further their education and job opportunities. Franklinton Adult Career and Education Center (ACEC) will help address these issues by providing multiple programs to help adult students succeed and find a path that works for them. On the 1st floor of ACEC trade education rooms provide space for students to learn skills such as plumbing, electrical work, and woodworking. On the 2nd floor students can take GED prep courses and exams. These programs would help students gain the certifications they need to continue their education or build their careers.
Roxxi VanHorn was raised in the small town of Circleville Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She attended a rural high school before beginning college at The Ohio State University. From a young age Roxxi was very creative. She spent her childhood exploring different art forms. In college she realized she wanted to channel her creativity into helping others. This led her to Interior Design, where she could make lives better through well designed spaces.
