Fruits of our Labor

Interior Design, 2022
Fruits of Our Labor is a community makers space and trade education center located in Franklinton’s Historic Fire House 10. By providing workshop space and tools, mentorship, and hands on building and preservation classes, this space will be a place where builders, creatives, students, and local non-profits groups can turn for their building needs. By working locally, this project aims to bring revival to the neighborhood that is true to its people and help combat gentrification. This space will also serve as a vessel for connection and foster a community of builders and craftspeople looking to expand their network and collaborate with others whether through hosting an event, starting a community building project, or simply using our community work spaces.
Rachael Leitnaker is graduating from the Ohio State University with a BSD in Interior Design and a Minor in History of Art. She is passionate about hospitality design, sustainable living practices, ecology, and history, and plans to obtain her Master’s Degree in Historic Preservation. Throughout her design career Rachael hopes to have a positive impact in her local community through responsible investment that gives back and rehabilitation efforts that will provide new economic opportunity and will support a sustainable infrastructure.
