The gaming industry is well-known for harboring hatred towards women, non-white, and non-heterosexual players. Online anonymity and lack of discipline in gaming platforms only work to aid in cyberbullying, and this resentment discourages new players from experiencing the genuine feelings of community that multiplayer video games can foster.

GGWP is a welcoming platform that encourages gamers to create new, lasting relationships without fear of harassment. The mobile application features strict community guidelines to ensure an inclusive environment for all, and players have the option to choose their own teammates based on similar interests, favorite games, microphone usage, and so much more.

McKenzy Connelly

McKenzy Connelly is a 2023 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Game Studies. She enjoys game design and would love to create her own board games someday. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing video games, and watching the Cleveland Browns.
