Ginger is an environmentally conscious grocery store focused on thoughtful shopping and responsible food use. The design-system has a developed brand, publication and app that work together to encourage meal planning, educate shoppers about food waste, and give back to the food insecure population. This niche grocery store assists consumers with meal planning during their shopping experience to instill good habits that inherently limit individual food waste.

The Live Ginger magazine provides easy tips on how to store and revive food. It also inspires customers with recipes that use nearly-expired foods and food scraps to their fullest potential. The Ginger mobile app expands on the magazine in a more personalized way by allowing shoppers to build their digital cookbook as they fall in love with sustainable recipes. It also includes an interactive meal planning calendar and a food-portioning grocery list so customers can become food waste warriors.
