Introducing Giver – a credit card donation station and information card, partnering with Social Swipe and The Columbus Coalition for the Homeless. We exist to raise awareness of and donations to the homeless organizations in Columbus, Ohio.
People can become Givers by using “Donation Stations” located on busy street corners in the Columbus area. These stations increase donations to homeless organizations by allowing people to give with their credit cards rather than cash. Givers swipe their card to participate in the various interactions and give a $5 donation to the Columbus Coalition for the Homeless.
After the interaction takes place, “Donation Stations” distribute our “Giver Cards” to be given to homeless people seen on the streets. The cards contain local shelter information and food vouchers for organizations and restaurants closest to the “Donation Station” location, as well as a comprehensive map that gives directions for how to get to these locations.
