HardCore: The Cider Hub of Franklinton
Aubrey Langley
Interior Design, 2016
HardCore is a do-it-yourself cidery and bar where patrons can create their own cider from locally grown Ohio apples. The cider created can then be fermented into a hard cider by workers on site, or taken home to enjoy as a soft cider. The process of concocting cider fits perfectly within the Franklinton Maker Community, as well as the ever-growing craft-beer community throughout Columbus. The ability to turn your cider into a hard cider allows a range of users to experience HardCore. Families, millennials, and cider enthusiasts can all benefit from what HardCore offers. The trade of brewing hard cider creates jobs for existing residents of the Franklinton community, bringing a unique atmosphere to the adaptive reuse of Engine House No 6.
