Healing Together

With a comfortable atmosphere and the presence of one's family at their side, "Healing Together" offers a soothing, intimate environment that alleviates the pain experienced by patients in most hospitals.
“Healing Together” is located in the Dayton Children’s Hospital and contains a multitude of patient rooms. Each room possesses sleeping accommodations for family members, lounges for families to congregate in privacy, patient education facilities equipped with nurses who readily inform families on continuing the healing process, performance centers, and relaxing library and garden-like common areas throughout the entire hospital floor.
While inside the patient rooms, families have the ability to look into the scenic, open garden space filled with vibrant colors, trees, and foliage. In addition, they are surrounded by similar patients playing and spending time with their families in open common areas. We believe that such an atmosphere motivates young children throughout the healing process, as they would hope to join their jubilant peers in these exciting spaces.
Positive distractions, such as color, patterns, artwork and scenic environments are designed to appeal to children and family members alike. The result is an overall sense of comfort and relaxation. The color used in the space was designed to evoke such feelings, bringing a truly positive healthcare environment for all present.
