Liza Bruyako
Interior Design, 2023
For my senior capstone project in interior design, I researched the programmatic elements of a culinary arts program for an adaptive reuse space in the town of Franklinton. A culinary arts program in the Franklinton area can help grow skills in cooking, expand knowledge about food and nutrition, and help the people of Franklinton better connect with their community. A program like this can impact the community environmentally, economically, and culturally. Through a partnership with star house youth, these individuals can learn home-cooked meals, budgeting, gardening skills, and much more. The main goal is for them to create relationships and lifelong friendships with one another. This program is an extension of star house, but it focuses on connection and providing access to a healthy and nutritious life.
