Mascara formula is typically made with chemicals that are harmful to the environment. Mascara as a whole is deemed non-recyclable because the small plastic tubing is difficult to clean out while the applicators are made with mixed-materials that are not easily taken apart.

Lazo is a refillable mascara tube with a cake mascara formula made with only organic ingredients. Its design makes it easy to use, clean out, and refill. Users are given the option to either purchase premade refills, packaged in biodegradable paper, or purchase a tool-kit that provides everything needed to create their own refills at home.

Lazo’s purpose is to help combat waste and pollution, one small step at a time.
