OSI - Rheumatoid Arthritis Refill Applicator
The OSI refill applicator is designed to give rheumatoid arthritis patients greater independence in managing their treatment. Arthritis often requires frequent cortisone injections, but accessing hard-to-reach areas—like the shoulder blades—can be difficult without assistance. This leads to frustration, reliance on others, and frequent doctor visits, making treatment feel like an ongoing burden rather than a solution. The OSI applicator addresses these challenges by providing a simple, at-home refill system for an implantable drug reservoir, allowing patients to administer their medication without external help.
By combining patient accessibility with intuitive design, OSI streamlines the refill process and minimizes disruptions to daily life. The adjustable applicator head allows for precise alignment with the implant site, while the ergonomic handle ensures comfortable use for individuals with limited mobility. The device provides clear visual and auditory feedback, guiding users through each step to ensure accuracy and confidence. By eliminating the need for frequent doctor visits, OSI gives patients greater control over their care, reducing stress and improving their overall quality of life.
